The Los Angeles Lakers, like just the rest of the league, have been seen sporting the number six on their team's jersey, and that is in honor of the late legendary Bill Russell.

The NBA retired the number 6 in his honor, but LeBron has recently spoken about it, and Bill Russell, as he sports the number 6 on his jersey with the Los Angeles Lakers.

“It wasn't a shock. I mean, it's what should have happened; Russell meant so much to the game, not only to the Boston Celtics but to the NBA in general. Also, off the floor, with what he contributed to the black community, his activism, his speaking, his mind, and everything he meant to the game. It was always a treat seeing him at games,” said LeBron James on Bill Russell.
