For some people, LeBron will never be considered the GOAT no matter what he does, and this Lakers legend is one of them.

For some people, LeBron will never be considered the GOAT no matter what he does, and this Lakers legend is one of them.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has been a great player for twenty years, he has become one of the greatest in that time, and for some, he has even passed Michael Jordan as the GOAT, but not for this Lakers legend.

According to Shaquille O'Neal, LeBron James is great, but even with this year eventually passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's most scored points will not be on the GOAT Michael Jordan level, nor Dr. J(Julius Erving), Magic Johnson, and others.

As he recently stated, LeBron James doesn't think much of breaking the Abdul-Jabbar's either. But with O'Neal's comments, LeBron could be putting him soon in his list of non-grant persons, like Kareem seems to be on it.

The Lakers star LeBron is more focused on winning another championship than on breaking the record; one thing is clear, his longevity is one of the main reasons, besides his impressive talent with scoring, for him to be close to this record.

What LeBron James needs to be considered the GOAT

For some, LeBron needs to win more finals, as he has more losses than wins, and he has to at least tie with the same number of 'chips as Michael Jordan. MJ played six finals and won them all; that's one of the main reasons he is considered the GOAT.
