The Los Angeles Lakers superstar remains one of the only athletes on the list to be a billionaire. Still, he won't be pleased to hear he is no longer a top 3 highest-earner athlete, at least for 2023.

After signing a new contract with the Arabian Al-Nassr team, the soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo will be earning a lot more money and has jumped to the first play of the highest-paid athletes in 2023 with 136 million earnings.

Number two on the list is the last first place of last year, the Argentinan soccer superstar Leonel Messi who is now in the second spot with earnings of 130 million.

LeBron James was the 2nd highest athlete earner in 2022. Still, he is no longer in the top three, as the third spot is another international soccer player, the young French superstar Kylian Mbappe, who renewed with PSG and is now earning 120 million this year.

LeBron James is the fourth highest-paid athlete in 2023

Even when the Lakers superstar is no longer in the top 3 of the highest-paid athletes this year, he is still in the top 5 and is in the fourth spot, also being the highest NBA athlete earner on the list with 119.5 Million. This list is according to Forbes. The 5th athlete is the Mexican boxer Canelo Alvarez who is set to earn 110 million. The next two NBA stars are Stephen Curry in the 8th spot with 100.4 million and Kevin Durant in the 10th spot with 89.1 million.
