Even when the showtime era legend Magic Johnson wasn't a fan of the PG Russell D'Angelo on his first stint with the purple and gold, it seems he has changed his mind after his return to the team for this season.
One of the Lakers legends that are in a position to give his opinion about the team and the players is the multi-champion Earvin Magic Johnson, who created a legacy with the NBA franchise.
D'Angelo was called immature on his first stint with the team, but so far, after his return and the first three games with the Lakers, he looks different, more mature, and is bringing his A-game to Los Angeles.
Johnson praised the PG, saying, "I think D'Angelo Russell has grown and matured... If the Lakers can get in the playoffs, and I think they will, nobody will want to play them."
The fans welcomed not only D'Angelo Russell and Malik Beasley to the team, but Jarred Vanderbilt is quickly becoming one of the new fan-favorite players to be part of the roster.
