By James Brown
A couple of weeks ago the NBA was shaken by the news regarding the highest extension deal made in the league with the highest-paid salary between the Boston Celtics and Jaylen Brown.
Brown signed a five-year 303 million deal with Boston, making him the highest-paid NBA player with a 60 million annual salary. But the Lakers and Anthony Davis have now overcome that deal.
According to ESPN, the Lakers have agreed to a max extension deal with Anthony Davis consisting of 3 years and 186 million, making AD now the highest-paid NBA player with a 62 million annual salary.
Davis has now moved Jaylen Brown to second place and is getting the right motivation to win at least another championship title with the Lakers.
While still isn't sure how many years are left of LeBron James in the Lakers, the front office seems to have already built a roster thinking ahead of the star's retirement. Pelinka has locked AD until 2028, Reaves, Hachimura, Max Christie, Jalen Hood-Schifino, and Maxwell Lewis for at least four years from now.
