The Los Angeles Lakers couldn't hold themselves up against the Denver Nuggets. Even when all four games lost, they were close till the last two minutes.

In Game 4, Jokic scored the winning bucket, and Denver got the victory by two points, ending all hope the Lakers had of a comeback in the series and having the whole team feel frustrated.

The game was tied 111-111, and Nuggets guard Jamal Murray had the ball with 1:07 remaining. On the play, Murray, protected by Anthony Davis, drove from the right side into the lane before falling while dribbling with his left hand. In the attempt to gain possession among six players, the ball was ruled to have gone out of bounds off Lakers guard Austin Reaves.

"Possession is awarded to Denver," the NBA last two minutes report read. "However, the ball touches Murray's (DEN) left hand last before going out of bounds. Reaves does not make contact with it. Possession should have been awarded to Los Angeles." Instead, Jokic drove off the inbounds pass from the left side and scored with a layup for the two-point lead with 51.7 seconds left. The Lakers lost the game and the series.

Darvin Ham is confident of a bright future with the Lakers

After all, this was year one of the Laker's head coach Darvin Ham, and the team was able, against all odds, to make it to the Western Conference Finals. With the plan to keep most of the young core intact and have some upgrades, the future looks bright for LA.
