The Los Angeles Lakers were about to lose the season when GM Rob Pelinka made the necessary adjustments to the team's roster that significantly improved it, and the team made it into the playoffs.

The purple and gold advanced to the Western Conference Finals and made the fans believe in the possibility of winning the championship title. Still, after being swept by the Nuggets, some players needed to go, including the PG D'Angelo Russell, who helped in the regular season only to disappear most of the postseason run.

D-Lo was set to be the difference-maker in the playoffs. Instead, Rui Hachimura was the one that helped the team. Still, it wasn't enough, and the team is now eliminated; the worst news is that the Lakers see keeping Russell as their best option for a Point Guard for next season.

The NBA Insider Shams Charania gave the worst news to the Lakers Nation, which made them angry as he reported, "The Lakers could be in the market for a point guard. When you think about the available point guards— Fred VanVleet, Kyrie Irving. Their best bet might be to bring back D'Angelo Russell."
