Kobe Bryant was one of the best players in Lakers and NBA history. He would've turned 44-years-old last August 23rd. In honour of his birthday, many players and reporters decided to share some amazing stories of the all-star player. NBA writer Marc J. Spears decided to add a story where Kobe made him throw his clothes away.

According to the NBA writer, Kobe wouldn't have an interview with him as he was wearing an Adidas suit. “Why you disrespecting me like that?” Spears recalled Bryant saying. “Why you wearing this Adidas stuff, man? You know I’m Nike. I’m not gonna do the interview unless you get rid of that suit.”

Kobe Bryant, had left a sponsorship deal with Adidas and soon after partnered with Nike. Seems the thing  didn't end well with the all-star player and the brand, as he made Marc J. Spears throw the suit away. According to the writer, Kobe did the interview but only on the condition that Spears send him the video of him throwing away the suit.

It seems that the writer learnt his lesson after that situation with the Lakers legend, as he explained that now if he's going to do a one on one interview he takes clothes from different brands, "to make sure that I don’t disrespect them, because I don’t want to keep throwing away clothes like Kobe Bryant made me throw clothes away.”

Kobe Bryant's Lakers legacy

There's no denying Kobe Bryant's talent. He is definitely a top 3 in the team's history, but what is amazing, is the number of team records he still holds. Kobe leads the Lakers in games, minutes, wins, points, field goals, threes and free throws. Not only in the regular season, but in the playoffs too.
