The Los Angeles Lakers could be going all in this offseason after all, not by bringing big names, like GM Rob Pelinka said they wouldn't do, but by going younger, as the NBA Draft 2023 proved of it, and bringing back a couple of established players that won the 2020 championship title with them.
Kyle Kuzma declined the 13 million option with his team, the Washington Wizards, and by becoming a free agent, there's an opportunity for the purple and gold to bring him back.
But another fan-favorite former Laker could be back. A recent report by Joe Cowley has LA's center Mo Bamba wanting to play in the Chicago Bulls for next season, and fans are already suggesting, as both players have a similar salary, to bring back Alex Caruso by a trade.
Caruso shouldn't have left in the first place, but the Lakers were cheap and didn't match any offer for him in free agency, and now they have learned their lesson, as they won't make the same mistake with Reaves. Now, LA could bring Caruso back for around 11 million.
Between last year's and this year's draft options and what Reaves has been able to do, the team is looking for their young core to bring a new era to LA once LeBron James retires and Anthony Davis becomes the face of the franchise.
