The Lakers continue to trail against the San Antonio Spurs and Anthony Davis not being on the floor is hurting the team

The Los Angeles Lakers had a good second quarter after the disastrous first one, as they are shorthanded tonight at San Antonio when facing the Victor Wembanyama Spurs.

San Antonio is looking to break their 18-game losing streak, and while LA cut the distance for half-time, the start of the third quarter made the team trail again by 15 points.

The Lakers are trying to stay in the game but is clear they are missing their best player, Anthony Davis who usually gets criticized for his inconsistency, but the truth is that even when he isn't scoring big numbers, his defensive game is what keeps the team afloat.

Without AD, Cam Reddish and D'Angelo Russell, coach Ham hasn't been able to make in-game adjustments to make a comeback in the game against the Spurs.

Austin Reaves and LeBron James are the best Lakers on the court

Despite the whole team's efforts, the best two players on the court for the Lakers are LeBron James and Austin Reaves. LeBron has scored 21 points while Reaves has scored 22. Rui Hachimura has been the third-best Laker as he had a coming off-the-bench role.
