It seems that the Lakers aren't planning to strengthen their size department, as coach Darvin Ham is happy with what he has on the roster

In the middle of the battle for a playoff spot, the Lakers have improved their roster and now have depth across the board, but there is still one area they still need to improve, and it's their size department.

For the fans is unbelievable that having a 15th spot in the roster, the team has yet to find a BIG backup because after Anthony Davis, only Wenyen Gabriel is left, and he isn't the biggest player either.

Mo Bamba, another big player on the team, is out due to an injury, and the season has no return date. But coach Darvin Ham is content with Anthony Davis and Wenyen Gabriel and isn't considering adding another size player to his roster.

It has been evident that coach Ham prefers to play smaller than have size when needed. Ham spoke about his SIZE duo and said: "They've been great," Ham told about the Duo. “Just the energy and activity of Wenyen, his ability to rebound, defend, he can move his feet to defend laterally and vertically, his ability to catch and finish and come up with 50/50 balls. He's really been a huge presence on the offensive glass, and he plays the right way.”

For Ham, Gabriel complements AD's game

"He supports AD, if AD goes after a block, [Wenyen] is able to caress the rebound and vice versa. AD doesn't have to hunt down every attempted shot at the rim when he and Wenyen are out there together. They're tag-teaming those responsibilities of taking care of the most important guy with baseline help. They have a great synergy together and it's proven to be very successful recently."
