LeBron James is 38 years old but continues to make history in his two-decades-long career as he is about to enter year 21 in the NBA, continues to display a great level, and is still a top ten player in the league.
Year 20 in the NBA was special for him, despite not being able to accomplish the ultimate goal of winning the championship title, the team made it to the WCF and he broke the 40+ year-long scoring record held by the showtime era Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
LeBron James made history in the 2022-23 season as he finally broke and surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's scoring record and has become the all-time leader now the purple and gold legend Shaquille O'Neal reveals what LeBron James' ultimate goal with the scoring record is.
According to former Lakers superstar Shaq, James wants to make his NBA scoring record untouchable for at least the next 60 to 70 years. By still being active, LeBron will continue to accumulate points and will make an almost impossible record to be broken.
James passed former Lakers center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the top spot on the league’s all-time scoring list during a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Feb. 7. He finished the game with 38 points, seven rebounds and three assists in 34 minutes of playing time. The forward also converted four of his six 3-point attempts.
