It was a revelation for the NBA world what Austin Reaves was able to accomplish in his sophomore year. Not only he had a breakout campaign, but he earned a spot in coach Ham's starting five lineups and even became the third-best player on the team just behind Anthony Davis and LeBron James.
But Reaves not only was able to accomplish that and even get a spot on the Team USA that is about to play in the upcoming FIBA World Cup, but also helped the purple and gold defeat in the West Conference Semifinals the Warriors and got a better shooting performance than one of the greatest shooters of all-time: Stephen Curry.
The Dubbs superstar Stephen Curry won't like it, but only one player had the highest true shooting percentage of all guards last season over him, and that was the Lakers' Austin Reaves.
Austin Reaves got a 68.7% true shooting percentage while Stephen Curry had a 65.6%, Damian Lillard had 64.5%, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander got 62.6%.
A recent official photo of Austin Reaves has been released where the Lakers SG can be seen wearing the Team USA jersey with his signature No. 15. Reaves has now been called "Captain America."
