The Los Angeles Lakers have had a great offseason so far, but they are still looking to add a new center capable of helping win a championship title, just like in 2020.
The 2020 Lakers team had some great big players, and later they had a promising center in Jay Huff, but Pelinka and Ham let him go, and now the Denver Nuggets have given the team another defeat.
In the WCF series against the Nuggets, the purple and gold suffered a hurtful loss against the team led by the two times MVP, Nikola Jokic. Now, Denver has just signed the free agent Jay Huff, a former Laker and South Bay player who would greatly help coach Ham's team.
The Lakers had a perfect option that they were familiar with as he won the G League Defensive Player of the Year with the South Bay Lakers. Instead of bringing him home, the Lakers again lost to the Nuggets.
With information via ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, "The Denver Nuggets are signing 7-footer Jay Huff to a two-way contract, sources tell ESPN." First, the Lakers lost the WCF, and now they have lost a big center.
