The Los Angeles Lakers have made some exciting signings in the free agency market but have also let go of some valuable pieces that helped the team in the last season to make it into the WCF.
Lonnie Walker, Dennis Schroder, and Troy Brown Jr. have found new teams, and to that group, now joined by Malik Beasley, who has just been signed with the Bucks on a one-year 2.7 million minimum.
This is a wasted opportunity for the Lakers, that should've re-signed him by the minimum after declining their team option on the shooting guard.
While Beasley didn't shoot like he is known to shoot, the Lakers could've given the SG another shot by re-signing him with the minimum. Now, contending for the championship, the Milwaukee Bucks will have him to help them with the shooting.
Two of their three shooting guards from last season for the Lakers are gone, and only Austin Reaves remains. Coach Darvin Ham seems to be giving Max Christie more opportunities this season. Also, the rookie Maxwell Lewis could be in the mix.
