Patrick Beverley and Russell Westbrook, now former Lakers players, have a love/h@te relationship with the Purple and Gold as both have trash-talked about their time with the team but now want something from them.

The stint between the Lakers and the two Point Guards was below expectations; in the case of Westbrook, it lasted for a season and a half, while for Pat Bev, it only lasted for half the 2022-23 season.

After the Purple and Gold, Patrick Beverley signed with the Chicago Bulls, lost in the Play-In tournament, and was eliminated. Russell Westbrook stayed in Los Angeles but moved to the franchise neighbor, the Clippers.

Russ and the Clippers were beaten in round one of the playoffs against the Phoenix Suns after leading the series 1-0. And now that they have zero chances of winning the title this season with their teams, they want championship rings if the Lakers win this year's NBA championship title.

Patrick Beverley told the story on his podcast

The Chicago Bulls Point Guard spoke about Russell Westbrook calling him, saying, "Hey Pat, if Lakers win I want my ring." Patrick laughed and also showed interest in getting one himself.
