Even when the NBA media has been trying to sell the Battle for LA rivalry between the Clippers and the Lakers, the reality is that it has always been one-sided as the purple and gold have been the dominating franchise of the city.
The reality is that the only NBA champion 17 times has been the Lakers while the Clippers are still away from winning their first championship title in their franchise history.
The Clippers have been dominating the Lakers in the past 10 regular season games in their favor, but the purple and gold in the last four years have won a championship title and played a WCF in the last one.
And now, the Clippers star Paul George has opened up and accepted that the Clippers are the "little brother" of the Lakers. "I talked earlier how we share a spot with the Lakers at Crypto," said George. "We share the space there and it's a weird dynamic because we'll go in the weight room and Bron got his s**t. It's crazy, Bron got his s**t with his logos on it and it just feels like it's the Lakers... It feels like we the little bros over there."
It definitely is interesting to think that the Lakers and Clippers have shared an arena for quite some time. However, both teams will look forward to 2024 when the Clippers move their new arena in Inglewood.
