The 2022-23 season was a rollercoaster ride for the LA Lakers, as the team started on the wrong foot and had a rocky beginning with a 2-10 record, but later on, they were able to make it to the WCF.
LeBron James was leading the team to another NBA Finals but the Denver Nuggets swept them and the frustration took the best out of LeBron, that, and the fact that a close friend had just retired: Carmelo Anthony.
Recent reports have revealed that Melo's retirement triggered Lebron James to consider retiring too, but at the end of the day, his love for basketball and great shape made him figure out he isn't ready to leave the court yet.
James announced at the ESPY Awards that he will continue to play and there isn't a retiring date yet, so the NBA still has its king for more years to come.
Before he retires, the Lakers star LeBron James is pursuing to win at least one more championship title, as he is two away from tying Michael Jordan, still, he is one of the greatest players of all time without a doubt.
