The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most popular franchises in the NBA, because of that, it has one of the largest fanbases in the league, but also the most number of detractors coming from other fanbases, the media, and even other players, one of them comes from the LA Clippers: Paul George.

George has been vocal about the difference between the two franchises and how the Clippers feel like the uncomfortable little brother as they don't receive the same kind of respect as the Lakers have, even at their shared home, the Crypto.com Arena.

Paul George hasn't been able to bring a title to the franchise alongside Kawhi Leonard, and he has had to deal with the team being in the shadow of the LA Lakers, he wants to change that by winning a championship as it is one of George's ultimate goals, also, he is trying to help the Clippers fans to have something to show off against the purple and gold fanbase.

The Clippers are still away from winning a single NBA championship title

George is currently in his fifth season with the Clippers after getting traded there by the Oklahoma City Thunder back in the summer of 2019. During that span, the Clippers have had some postseason success, but they’ve mainly fallen short of expectations. During his time with the Clippers, he’s averaged 23.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.5 steals per game while knocking down 44.9 percent of his attempts from the field and 38.9 percent of his shots from beyond the arc.
