The Lakers fans continue to wait for the organization to sign a big center, meanwhile, GM Rob Pelinka and coach Darvin Ham are keeping up their work and have done another movement to the roster.
Yesterday the Lakers made it official, they are signing the forward Alex Fudge with a two-way contract after being signed with a 10-day contract and played in the Summer League where he earned a spot in Ham's roster.
But to have a spot for a two-way contract for Fudge, the Lakers had to waive the forward Cole Swider, who was about to have his second year in the NBA.
Fudge was one of the best players for the Lakers in the Summer League, he impressed the coaching staff and now will be part of the roster for the next season, even when he isn't expected to be part of the regular team rotation.
Five new rookies are entering the next season with the team, two were 2023 NBA Draft picks, Jalen Hood-Schifino, and Maxwell Lewis. Three have signed a two-way contract, Colin Castleton, D'Moi Hodge, and now, Alex Fudge. The team is looking to the future with some interesting and potential talent.
