The Los Angeles Lakers' last championship title was in 2020, and people would think that the GM Rob Pelinka would have built on that and only made a more robust team from that core, but no, he destroyed it.
Only two players remain from the championship team's roster, LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Pelinka has ‘destroyed’ these players' careers that are no longer in the squad. Some of them would improve the current roster.
Dwight Howard, Kent Bazemore, Trevor Ariza, D.J. Augustine, Avery Bradley, Wayne Ellington, Stanley Johnson, and Carmelo Anthony are no longer on the roster.
Howard and Melo are no longer playing in the NBA but are moving to Taiwan, which is sad as they still have a lot to give in the league as role players. The Lakers could have used them, but Pelinka isn't doing his job right.
The Lakers Nation wants a new trade to happen so the team can be more robust and better, as the season isn't looking great with their current 3-10 record. But Pelinka has stated to be waiting until Thanksgiving. A ‘Blockbuster trade’ could help Pelinka redeem himself, but it isn't likely.
