The NBA 2023 Draft will be held in five days, and the LA Lakers have been doing predraft workouts with several groups of prospects in the past few weeks.
According to some reports, this is disconcerting as the GM Rob Pelinka is considering making a trade including Mo Bamba, Malik Beasley, and the No. 17 Pick for the upcoming draft.
Other reports have the Lakers looking to use that pick along with their No. 47 pick. LA has two chances at adding impact players to next year's roster.
But by wasting them with a trade before the draft, Pelinka could be repeating a mistake like when they gave away many future picks for Russell Westbrook, which didn't work out.
The Lakers brought today for predraft workouts the following prospects:
Andre Jackson Jr. - UConn
Sam Peek - Stetson
Jake Stephens - Chattanooga
Jazian Gortman - Overtime Elite
Timmy Allen - Texas
Azuolas Tubelis - Arizona
