In their exit interview, Pelinka said he was already working on the next season, but he is losing some potential players he was interested

The offseason isn't the most substantial time for GM Rob Pelinka, as he has yet to be able to build an incredible team roster in the summer after the 2020 season.

But in the past trade deadline, Pelinka demonstrated under pressure; he could pull off some exciting movements. But this offseason, he has yet to be able to do anything.

The Lakers insider Jovan Buha revealed the list of players Pelinka is interested in this summer: Myles Turner, Buddy Hield, Dorian Finney-Smith, Royce O'Neale, Gary Trent Jr., and Kristaps Porzingis.

But Trent Jr. has already been signed while Kristaps has now signed with Boston, while the Lakers have yet to be able to re-sign players like Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura. At this pace, things could get ugly soon for Rob Pelinka and the purple and gold.

Chris Paul could arrive at the Lakers after all

Even when ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski had Chris Paul closer to the Clippers, it seems that after tall, the Lakers are ahead in the race to get the star PG as he has been seen in different purple and gold facilities. The Clippers now have started to look to other PG's.
