Austin Reaves had a breakout season with the LA Lakers in his second year in the NBA, Thanks to his performances, the guard has had a meteoric rise that helped him to be the third-best player of the team, to sign a 56 million extension, played with Team USA at the FIBA World Cup and release his first signature shoes.
The latest of those achievements is what still has Reaves not believe what has happened to him after only two years in the NBA. Austin still can't believe he has his signature shoe, and that it was sold out within minutes of release despite the hate he got with Team USA by NBA fans outside the Lakers Nation.
Recently, Reaves sat down in the "All the Smoke" podcast and was honest on how he can't still believe that has his signature shoe, as not many NBA stars have one.
“There‘s multiple times where I’m sitting there just like, ‘This sh*t can’t be real’… I think there’s [only twenty-some] guys in the league with their own shoe." Said Reaves to Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson.
While Team USA failed as a whole, as the group wasn't able to win a medal, one of the standouts on the roster was Austin Reaves, who was great during the competition. Reaves and Rigorer released the limited edition of "Stars & Stripes" in honor of his time with Team USA.
