The Los Angeles Lakers Japanese wing Rui Hachimura won't be playing in the FIBA World Cup with the Japan Basketball National team because he wanted to stay working out for the next campaign.
Since the offseason started and Hachimura signed an extension with the Lakers for three years and 51 million, the Japanese forward hasn't stopped working out with assistant coach Phil Handy.
Anthony Davis has been waiting to sign his extension and now he has done it with a three-year 186 million but is not putting up the work like Rui has done to recover and stay healthy for the next season.
While Hachimura sacrificed playing in the FIBA World Cup, Anthony Davis has been on his vacation and focused on the money he is getting instead of improving the areas that were deficient last lesson like his free throwing.
Hachimura hasn't been the only Laker that has been putting up the work as Jarred Vanderbilt has been seen in Japan and Greece working out with Rui and Phil Handy.
