Surprise, not Mo Bamba nor Tristan Thompson, the 53M center that the Lakers want to sign

The Lakers continue to build their roster for the next season, and a returning center could be the option

One of the main reasons the Lakers failed to defeat the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals was their need for a reliable size center.

Mo Bamba was out due to an injury, Wenyen Gabriel needed to be more, and Tristan Thompson tried his best; being a veteran, it fell short against Nikola Jokic's greatness.

Because of that, Pelinka signed the undrafted player Colin Colestone with a two-way contract to shape him for the future but is currently pursuing bringing back a former Lakers Center.

Mo Bamba, Gabriel, or even Thompson could be leaving, as Pelinka wants to sign the Milwaukee Bucks center Brook Lopez who is set to become a free agent. He had a 53 million four-year deal that LA could be matching to sign him for the next campaign.

Colin Colestone could become the Laker's future center

Thinking ahead of time, the Lakers are looking to build a strong team for the future as they have signed the undrafted player Colin Colestone who different NBA teams were looking to sign in round 2 of the 2023 NBA Draft.
