The Lakers front office will be busy, as the team's GM Rob Pelinka and coach Darvin Ham have ahead of them some critical decisions to make if they are willing to keep the team's core as much as they can, as it has been previously stated.
The top priorities for the team have been Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura, with Malik Beasley and Mo Bamba being the names that have the most probability of leaving the group.
But Dennis Schröder and Lonnie Walker IV are also some of Pelinka and Ham's priorities that little has been said about them, and now they could leave if, between them, other teams offer 15 million or more combined.
Walker and Schröder will be Non-Bird free agents. The Lakers can offer only 20% raises on their prior salaries to keep them without using either cap space or a cap exception. They will be the most complex Laker-free agents to keep considering that limitation.
In the case of Lonnie Walker, the SG wants more playing time; he isn't as interested in money as in the time he will be on the court for the next season. Still, for both players, the Lakers must try to convince Schroder or Walker to stay at less than market value or find cheaper replacements.
