This has been a busy offseason for the Lakers as the GM Rob Pelinka and coach Darvin Ham have been building from the last season's roster, to do that they have re-signed some key players.
Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, and D'Angelo Russell were the first to sign an extension, then the biggest one yet was for Anthony Davis who signed a three-year 186 million contract, but there's another player the Lakers are thinking of signing an extension as is about to be eligible for one: Jarred Vanderbilt.
Vando was one of the players who arrived in LA when the season was looking to be a repeat of the previous campaign when things were changed thanks to the new incorporations.
Jarred has proved his value, especially at the defensive end, and with the work he has been putting up this offseason, the Lakers could be thinking of giving something like a four-year 70 million contract. Vando could be making around 17.5 million per year.
Even when Jarred Vanderbilt was the starting wing in the last season, reports have Rui Hachimura to be the new starter after what the Japanese star showed in the playoffs.
