The Los Angeles Lakers will have an opportunity of a rematch against the NBA champions the Denver Nuggets in the season opener, but now it has also been revealed the purple and gold's rival for Christmas.
As we wait to find out the full NBA schedule for the 2023-24 season, yesterday the NBA insider Shams Charania reported that the team will face their biggest rival, the Boston Celtics on Christmas Day.
The Lakers vs. Celtics will be one of five games on the holiday, and it seems that it will be played in LA and probably will get the prime, mid-day spot.
The Knicks and the Lakers are basically guaranteed to play on Christmas every year due to their massive local markets. The other Christmas games will be the Bucks vs. Knicks, the 76ers vs the Heat, Mavericks vs. Suns, and the Warriors vs. Nuggets.
Unlike the last few years, the Lakers fans are excited for the next season as the team is bringing back the core that made it to the WCF and has made substantial upgrades.
