The Los Angeles Lakers Icon Shaquille O'Neal could bring back one old NBA franchise, the Seattle Supersonics. Shaq would be moving it to another city bringing back the franchise in expansion.
Shaquille O'Neal recently visited Abu Dhabi and could be getting enough money and co-investors to do such a movement. It is rumored that O'Neal went to the emirate's territory for different business.
The Lakers Icon became the NBA ambassador of the year and had different activities. One that wasn't listed as private was to get enough investors to bring the Supersonics back to life.
All of this is in early talks and is just an idea that Shaq has in mind, as he has long expressed a desire to own an NBA franchise. His last attempt was the Phoenix Suns after the Robert Sarver problems but with Amazon's owner Jeff Bezos involved he decided to step out.
The Lakers legend may not be a billionaire, and that's why he needs co-investors to buy his own NBA franchise. Still, he is a healthy millionaire with a net worth of around 400 million, of which about 292 million was in NBA salary alone.
