It has been long months since the last time the Lakers played in the Western Conference Finals, and the fans are ready for some rematch with the opening game being against the NBA Champions the Denver Nuggets, who swept LA in the WCF series.
It's a new season, a new roster, and new hope for the team to bring out the best and build from what was made in the last campaign when the team had everything against and still was able to play until the WCF.
Is going to be a rough start of the season within the first nine games having to face five playoff teams from last season: Nuggets, Suns, Kings, Clippers, and the Heat. These games will show how strong this team's roster is.
The purple and gold will have 15 back-to-backs, one more than the league average of 14 this season. They had 12 back-to-backs in each of the previous two seasons. And let's not forget that besides the regular season games, at least four more games will be played because of the In-Season tournament.
While the 2022-23 campaign couldn't start worst with the 2-10 record, the hopes are high for this team in the upcoming season, even though the first nine games will be tough, but also will prove that the Lakers are a real contending team this year.
