The rumors continue to have the Los Angeles Lakers pursuing a trade for the Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine, even when is unknown which players could be part of the package the organization could potentially send.
The clear thing is that LaVine is open to playing with the Lakers, as he has been giving hints about that in the past few weeks. First, LaVine in a recent interview said he would like to play alongside LeBron James and a dominant big man, which is basically an Anthony Davis description.
NBA insider Jovan Buha reported the Lakers' interest in the Bulls' Zach LaVine, alongside Alex Caruso and DeMar DeRozan, this followed The Athletic's Shams Charania's report of the Bulls and the guard open for a trade, to then the star to wear and LA hat on one of his latest post-game interviews.
But there's a team that LaVine doesn't want to sign with, which being a rival for the Lakers for the trade only brings him closer to LA. Zach LaVine's camp would rather he not end up in New York playing for the Knicks, per Stefan Bondy: “There are multiple reasons a LaVine-to-Knicks deal won’t happen. A source reiterated to The Post this week that LaVine’s camp would prefer not to go to Leon Rose’s squad.”
Despite having a good season so far, the biggest name NBA insider Jovan Buha has as a possible trading asset for the Lakers in a potential trade with the Bulls for LaVine is D'Angelo Russell, alongside some draft picks and another player in the shape of Rui Hachimura or Gabe Vincent if Alex Caruso is available for the trade.
