The long wait for a new NBA season is almost over, in the meantime, we have witnessed how teams in the Western Conference have been building some impressive rosters and even some are making super teams.

While the Los Angeles Lakers were able to build a deep and strong roster, some teams are set to be the toughest rivals to beat, including the NBA reigning champions the Denver Nuggets.

The first team to defeat the Lakers is the Nuggets, especially after Denver swept them in the WCF. The purple and gold will have their rematch in the season opener.

The 2nd best team to defeat in the West for the Lakers is Steph Curry's Golden State Warriors, which now have Chris Paul with them and could be adding the former LA's big Dwight Howard. The third team is Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal's team the Phoenix Suns, which will be the Lakers at home season opener.

The fourth team to defeat has a LeBron former teammate

LeBron James wanted a reunion with Kyrie Irving in LA, it didn't happen and now will be rivals in the West as Irving re-signed with the Mavs for another season. The Dallas Mavericks will be a tough team to beat because of the Irving-Doncic duo.
