On Wednesday night in the second leg of their back-to-back games this week, the Los Angeles Lakers entered the last quarter trailing by 20 points against Dallas.
The team almost won the game in the last minute with LeBron shooting a brick from 3 with 34s left. We all witnessed what came after that (the killer instinct from Irving to score the 3-point dagger).
This game almost repeats the exact scenario: 2 points in front with 33s left and LeBron shooting a brick from 3! Very lucky that Mitchell was not Kyrie!
Coach Ham said in the post-game presser to the Dallas loss that they have learned their lesson, but this match almost repeats the same fate and shows the team is still away from their A-game and that when the rival isn't as strong, they will continue to have problems.
Darvin Ham said for Spectrum SportsNet that the Lakers had to "dig our heels in" and communicate better to slow the Cavaliers down in the second half after their 71-point first half. He also credited the Lakers for crashing the glass and not allowing second-chance opportunities.
