The Los Angeles Lakers had a strong offseason by bringing back the team's core from last season and getting some new talented players, even when the first two games of the campaign haven't been what the fans were expecting to see.
Still, there have been only two games and the team needs to continue to develop chemistry and every player to get their role with the group, as the team has eight new faces inside the locker room.
But, for ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, the Lakers' success still depends on what Anthony Davis is capable of doing in the season, and it has to do if he can get consistent, just like in the 2020 NBA championship title bubble.
"If Anthony Davis showed up on a night in, night out basis, the Lakers could win it all." Said Stephen A. Smith. Davis is a top 5 player in the NBA, but not every night, because the Lakers star doesn't always bring out his best game.
For Perkins, the Lakers would greatly benefit from signing James Harden to help Anthony Davis and make a Big 3 alongside LeBron James. Still, it probably won't happen as LA isn't thinking of making a blockbuster deal.
