By James Brown
The Los Angeles Lakers know how to treat their star LeBron James; they finally delivered a contending team as promised, and now, after he became the new NBA All-Time scoring leader, they gave him an expensive gift.
LeBron broke the scoring record previously held by showtime-era legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on February 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Crypto.com Arena.
At the moment, James is out due to an ankle injury, but he will be reevaluated in about three weeks to see how he is evolving and hopes to return soon to help the team make it to the playoffs.
LeBron James was gifted a custom chain designed by Elliante from the NBA and Lakers for becoming the All-Time Scoring Leader. James was homaged by the Lakers front office, then in the All-Star game, and now gets this gift that, while haven't been revealed the exact price, has been rumored to be worth around $300,000.
The pendant is a massive lion's head with a crown on top of it. LeBron James' numbers 23 and 6 are also brightly and prominently displayed. The back of the pendant tells of his 20-year NBA journey. It starts with the teams he has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and LA Lakers. Eliantte engraved the words and the accomplishment: "LeBron James Record: 38,388 and counting."
