The Los Angeles Lakers were swept in the last Western Conference Finals by the Denver Nuggets who went on to win the NBA championship. The organization has built a team to dominate the league, win the 2023-24 title, and defeat the Jokic's Nuggets.

Many fans think the Lakers didn't make a single move this summer that addressed guarding Nikola Jokic, and believe that doesn't make them a West contender.

But the offseason moves weren't thought out only to defeat the Nuggets but to become champions. Still, the Lakers do have a group capable of beating the Denver Nuggets unlike what happened in the last playoffs where they were swept.

There is simply no Jokic stopper, but the Lakers have built a better and stronger team to attack things that Jokic and their defense aren't great at and Ham gets waves of versatile defenders that allow you to throw different looks at them on the other end. The Lakers have done that this offseason.

The Lakers vs. Nuggets rematch will be sooner than expected

The season opener for both NBA teams will be in the season opener. The bwill have the opportunity to prove that what happened in the 2023 WCF won't happen again, also will try to 'spoil' the Nuggets night as they will be receiving their NBA championship rings.
