Ahead of the game against the Dallas Mavericks, it was reported that Cam Reddish was going to continue to be out because of his groin injury while Max Christie was going to be the starter for the first time in his career in an NBA game.
One player that kind of flew under the radar was Taurean Prince who once again became a starter for the LA Lakers even when his performance hasn't been able to live up to what was expected of him, especially on the 3-point shooting.
Prince had 37 minutes of playtime and even closed the game in an attempt from coach Ham to win the game after an apparent comeback, this time around, Prince was valuable scoring 14 points, with 6 rebounds, 2 assists, shooting 6/10 FGs and 2/5 from 3 and having the biggest plus/minus with +15 of the team.
Taurean hasn't shot the 40% he promised, instead has been shooting his career lowest, but there is still trust in him to bounce back, as he started the season shooting the right way. This performance could be what he needed to bounce back and start helping the team from 3.
One of the biggest criticisms the Lakers superstar Anthony Davis has faced is his inconsistency, and against the Mavs, he showed again that he isn't capable of playing well in two back-to-back games, despite sitting out the complete last quarter of the first leg in the win over Utah Jazz.
