The Los Angeles Lakers are going all-in this season to win their 18th championship title in the franchise history

The Los Angeles Lakers have found their secret weapon in their pursuit of accomplishing the ultimate goal, winning the NBA championship title, especially after last season the group made it into the WCF.

By keeping the team's core, bringing some new "blood" via the 2023 NBA Draft, having new players as GM Rob Pelinka acquired this offseason in the free agency market, and re-signed key players, the Lakers are ready to compete.

But the secret weapon has already been inside the team and that is assistant coach Phil Handy. Handy has been working with many of the players and has helped to bring out their best game and improve their weak points.

Two clear examples are Austin Reaves with his 3-point shooting and Rui Hachimura who also improved his game thanks to Handy. Some new players who are looking to step up their game with Handy are Cam Reddish, Christian Wood, and Taurean Prince.

Another Laker who is working on his shooting and overall offensive game is Jarred Vanderbilt, he has also been in the lab with Phil Handy. Vando went to Japan to train with Phil and he has stayed busy in Los Angeles.
