The Lakers are looking to strengthen their roster even more despite having just become the first-ever In-Season Tournament champions, they are eyeing Alex Caruso's return according to recent reports by NBA insider Jovan Buha.

Some reports have LA having more interest in signing Zach LaVine, well, now the door has closed for Alex Caruso to return to Los Angeles despite the initial interest from both parties.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania: "A bevy of teams has been expressing interest in trading for Bulls utility star Alex Caruso, league sources say, but the franchise has shut down those calls."

This closes the door for good on the Lakers bringing back Alex Caruso, at least for this season. The Lakers' biggest mistake in recent years has been leaving Caruso to walk away, and they have been trying to redeem themselves in that aspect but haven't been able to.

Charania also reported that the LAL and Philadelphia 76ers are expected suitors for LaVine, but both are operating from positions of patience and due diligence. The purple and gold will have Gabe Vincent returning on December 18 which they have been expecting to see before deciding to move with a potential trade for LaVine or another star.
