Ever since the LA Lakers became the first-ever In-Season Tournament Champions, they have been inconsistent and haven't been able to recover as the many on-the-road games, heavy schedules, and numerous injured players have affected them.
Their latest stepback was the loss to the Boston Celtics on Christmas Day, but this Thursday night the team was able to get a key win against the Charlotte Hornets that will help the group to get motivation for their last two on-the-road games of 2023.
But by beating 133-112 the Charlotte Hornets the team became the first team in NBA history to score more than 130 points, dish out 40+ assists, make 15+ threes, and shoot 100% from the line... all in the same game.
This is impressive and comes to show again the two faces the team has had this campaign because they have been able to have some NBA lows and not this NBA high record. The team needs to be more consistent on their upper level to become a serious contender for the NBA title.
Anthony Davis says the Lakers’ roster’s versatility - which has contributed to the coaching staff trying out myriad lineups up to this point - just means that “we got good problems.” He added that he thinks the starting group of him, LeBron, TP, Vando, and Cam will stick.
