With one second left on the clock, the Lakers made a final play, an attempt to tie the game, and risked everything when Austin Reaves threw a pass to Matt Ryan, who made the 3-point shot just in Time for the buzzer to sound and scored to tie the game and forced the OT.
Then, in five minutes of the Over Time, the team was able to dominate the Pelicans and get the victory at home. After winning the game, the Lakers coach Darvin Ham spoke about the game, precisely the ending minutes, including the Matt Ryan shot.
In the post-game presser, coach Ham said: "The way we gutted this one out is huge. We had a big fat L staring us in the eyes... The way we pulled out the win is a big shot in the arm as far as building a winning culture."
The Lakers were 0-5 a week ago, but two games later, they are 2-5 and with all the intention to turn things around and be a competitive team. A lot of these two victories have excellent to do with the good job that Darvin Ham is having with the team.
The Lakers were able to have their second victory thanks to a superb 3-point shot by Matt Ryan to tie the game in the last second. Like in the movies, the Lakers were a second away from losing and had a 1-6 record, but thanks to Matt Ryan and his scored shot, Los Angeles played over Time and won. Ryan's shot is going viral and going all around the globe.
