The Lakers are looking to get a good player that can give them the edge without paying an extraordinary salary; this NBA champion could be it

The Lakers GM Rob Pelinka and coach Darvin Ham have today until midnight to decide what to do with Mo Bamba and Malik Beasley. If they let go, both players could get enough money to get their major interested, the Denver Nuggets free agent Wing.

With information by The Athletic's Jovan Buha, the Lakers are increasingly confident they can sign Nuggets free-agent wing Bruce Brown Jr. for the non-taxpayer midlevel exception starting at a projected 12.4 million.

To make this move, Pelinka would have to let go of Malik Beasley and Mo Bamba into free agency; then he could sign Bruce Brown and get Beasley and Bamba back with the minimum, or at least one of them.

Pairing Brown Jr. with Anthony Davis will give the Lakers an impressive defense. If the Lakers re-sign Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura to run back most of the team, the purple and gold could become serious contenders for the NBA title next year.

If the Lakers sign Bruce Brown, the fans want to see Michael Malone's reaction

The Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone didn't stop talking about the Lakers and LeBron James after defeating them in the WCF. So the LA fans eagerly await the team to sign free agent Bruce Brown Jr. and see Malone's reaction to it.
