The Los Angeles Lakers took the In-Season Tournament seriously and they have become the first team to win it and become champions as they were undefeated for the 7 games of it.

The Lakers were able to advance to the KO round after winning their four group stage games, then they beat the Phoenix Suns in the quarterfinals, the New Orleans Pelicans in the semifinals, and finally the Indiana Pacers in the final game.

Because of that and amazing performances during the whole Tournament, LeBron James and Anthony Davis were both selected to the inaugural All-NBA In-Season Tournament Team.

They're joined by Giannis Antetokounmpo, Tyrese Haliburton and Kevin Durant. There's no denying that those five players became the standouts of the Tournament in their inaugural decision.

The future looks bright for the Los Angeles Lakers

Despite some early struggles and setbacks, the LA Lakers have recovered most of their roster and now that Gabe Vincent is set to return with the team on December 18, next week from now, and after winning the first IST, the team is looking to get traction on becoming a serious contender for the NBA title.
