The Los Angeles Lakers head coach Darvin Ham has had the opportunity to have for most of the 32 games played so far in the season available his two biggest superstars: Anthony Davis and LeBron James.
Ham is in his second year as an NBA Head Coach in front of the Los Angeles Lakers and while he has been able to take the team to a Western Conference Final and to win the first-ever In-Season Tournament, his job as the head of the team has left a lot to be desired.
Recently a fan asked if any Lakers Head Coach has done less with both LeBron James and Anthony Davis healthy for 90% of the games to start the season. CBS Sam Quinn has given a straight answer:
"The 19-20 Lakers coached by Luke Walton were 20-14 after 34 games. Hadn't traded for Anthony Davis yet. The 21-22 Lakers coached by Frank Vogel were 16-18 after 34 games but had only gotten 49 combined Bron/AD games. The 2023-24 Lakers have gotten 63 Bron/AD games and are 17-17." Ham has been a truly bad coach despite the fact he is wasting LeBron James and Anthony Davis's impressive performances.
It seems that Darvin Ham's player doesn't buy his speech anymore and with his latest starting lineup, everything is going wrong. The last three weeks or so have been a mess in pretty preventable ways. Something has to change.
