The inspiration that Kobe Bryant had over the NBA keeps going as a young star has opened up about why he joined Team USA

The FIBA World Cup is just days away from the Team USA debut against New Zealand, and one of the biggest stars on the roster and probably the most talented one is Anthony Edwards.

Against Germany, in the last practice game for Team USA before the start of the FIBA World Cup, Edwards was without a doubt the most talented player on the court.

Anthony has now admitted that he is playing with Team USA because Kobe was part of it: "I just wanted to play in it because Kobe played in it, Michael Jordan played in it, Vince Carter when he jumped over buddy….Or the Kobe one when Kobe was talking Spanish to Luis Scola.”

LeBron James even reacted to Edward's performance by writing on his Twitter account that Anthony was so cold. Edwards has also been seen having great chemistry with the Lakers guard Austin Reaves inside of the Team USA locker.

Austin Reaves could be recruiting players for the Lakers

With information via NBA insider Jovan Buha, Reaves could be recruiting some Team USA players like Anthony Edwards to the Lakers: "Team USA has often been the place superteams are born. Is Austin Reaves recruiting any of his star teammates to join the Lakers in the eventual post-LeBron era? “I can’t speak on that. But I like some of the guys we’re playing with. So … yeah.”
