Being Los Angeles Lakers is synonymous with having celebrities and actors as part of their fandom, but Snoop Dogg is one of the most recognizable faces known to be a massive fan of purple and gold.

Snoop developed a deep love and respect for the late Kobe Bryant, even one time after a championship, the hip hop star gifted the Lakers legend a customized Pontiac.

He was asked by ESPN's Stephen A. Smith which current NBA player most reminds him of Bryant, and he said Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors best fits that description.

"The closest that'd I say would be Steph Curry... He's never considered the best, but he's always the best when it's time to be the best." That was Snoop Dogg's answer, but don't expect him to be rooting for the Golden State Warriors, as he won't betray the purple and gold.

The Lakers are close to starting the first round of their playoffs series vs. the Grizzlies
