The Lakers finally landed the big man they have been looking for in Christian Wood, This is coach Ham's plan for his newest center

The Los Angeles Lakers made most of their offseason moves early on the start of the summer, but the free agency market on centers was running thin and Christian Wood was the best option, GM Rob Pelinka has finally landed him for the veteran minimum.

A lot has been said about which role could Wood play with the team, as Anthony Davis is the starting center, but also recently it was reported that the Lakers star requested help at the five position.

With AD wanting to play more time at the team's four, it opens an opportunity for Christian Wood to be the starting center or at least to have a bigger role.

According to NBA insider Jovan Buha: "Wood is expected to have a considerable role for the Lakers off the bench, flanking Anthony Davis in two-big lineups and helping hold down the paint when Davis rests."

Rookie Colin Castleton could have a bigger role than expected

Being one of the two-way contract rookies, Colin Castleton is expected to have minimum participation with the team. But with coach Ham having only two centers on his roster Christian Wood and Jaxson Hayes, Castleton could have an opportunity to get significant minutes in his first year in the NBA.
