The Los Angeles Lakers need all the help they can, and signing Trae Young, while not part of the plan, could improve the team's roster and give some talent that can improve the team's roster.

Trae Young could hint that he wants to play in Los Angeles sooner rather than later. The Lakers are trying to get a trade done and are looking to get rid of Patrick Beverley and Kendrick Nunn, who have been major disappointments.

Young has recently bought a 20 Million house in Calabasas, Los Angeles, the past owner of the house, is the retired NFL star Clay Mathews III.

A new report by an NBA  executive has Trae Young, that could be the next player on a rookie max extension, request a trade if the team doesn't make inroads come postseason time. This opens an opportunity for the Lakers GM Rob Pelinka to sign the talented Hawks PG.

The problem with signing Trae Young

While it sounds like an improvement and a good opportunity, the only problem is that the Lakers will be exchanging a small Pat Bev for another small PG in Trae Young, and with Dennis Schröder already on the roster, the team needs size and shooters.
