The Los Angeles Lakers have lost, probably for the rest of the season, their best man on the court in Anthony Davis who got a new injury

The Los Angeles Lakers have struggled to have a healthy roster since the last campaign. While this campaign started a little differently, and Anthony Davis got some monster performances, he is now injured and out for at least a month.

AD getting injured and sitting out for at least a month or two, maybe as other reports suggest, is the worst news for the team on an already tricky campaign they are having as they sit on a 13-18 record.

But according to an NBA exec, AD's injury could improve the Lakers' chances of the trading talks. "Another rival said that if negotiated properly, he felt the Davis injury could help the Lakers' position in trade talks," Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times wrote.

"The team's sought leverage in talks since the summer, with much of the league viewing them as 'desperate' to make some trade. That, plus the early-season timing of any talks, has kept the asking price high. This executive thought a Davis injury of any real severity would give the Lakers leverage they haven't had since the summer by giving them a genuine reason to shut down talks and focus on the offseason." said Woike.

The Lakers could be traded away

Two names have been heavily considered by the Lakers' front office to be traded after Russell Westbrook earned a spot on the team's roster. The guards Kendrick Nunn and Patrick Beverley have been some of the worst players for the team and could give their sites for some crucial players.
